Dr. Valerie H. Chen will consider all aspects of your eye; vision, eye anatomy, and symmetry to name a few.
Once you and Dr. Chen have determined what is appropriate, you will be provided detailed written pre-operative instructions. Most procedures are performed here in the Providence Eye office; however, there are some instances when Dr. Chen will perform your procedure at The Surgery Center at Edgewater. Of course, this will be discussed during the planning phase.

Recovery from an ophthalmic plastic surgery typically consists of rest, ice, heat and prescribed creams or ointments. Here at Providence Eye, we are known for providing clear written post-operative instructions. Additionally, we always welcome your questions and have a doctor on call 24x7, should you have an urgent need after hours.
